Colorado photographer Richard Mauro Ricchiuti was born and raised in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, worked as a DJ on an FM radio station at 10. Started playing drums at the age of 11 and was involved with music for many years in NYC with a couple of "records."

As a teen, he and friends wandered the Brooklyn neighborhood with a Topcon 35mm film camera photographing everything and anything.

He has been resident sound design artist for the Bas Bleu Theatre Company in Fort Collins, and has won a national theater award for sound design. He stays very active with Bas Bleu.

Life is a dichotomy. This is reflected in his art.

Richard has many years experience working with people, artists, public, commercial and community radio and is a Certified Group Fitness instructor teaching classes at Miramont Lifestyle Fitness Clubs in Fort Collins.

Richard shoots with Canon Digital SLR cameras, lenses and accessories.
